Hemp rope is a twisting technique. This technique can be carried out with either raw hemp fibers or raw flax fibers, as both plants offer the same mechanical properties.

We deliberately chose to work with linen for several reasons:

It offers greater softness to the rope without altering its strength.
It grows in large quantities in France, particularly in Normandy, allowing us to offer a product that is as local as possible.

Our ropes are not necessarily 100% French linen. The origin of the fiber varies depending on the season and weather conditions; it comes from France whenever possible, but may also come from other parts of Europe.

The delivery time varies between 2 and 3 weeks, we do not keep much stock and prefer to work to order so that the rope is in perfect condition.

Unfortunately, no. The treatment we apply to our rope is vegan, but its manufacturing process is not. Like almost all ropes, an animal collagen-based glue is used to bind the fibers together. Tests have been carried out with plant-based materials, but the results were unsatisfactory (white marks in the rope). We are keeping a close eye on any technological advancements that would allow us to make this transition.
